Socials

There is no doubting we train hard, however as a club we also know how to socialise. With the commitment and training we put in, it is very important to have an outlet.

The social lives of the club consists of many different aspects, from our notorious nights out coupled with the traditional drinking games and songs that have been passed down the years balanced against the relaxed and friendly socials that consist of barbequing by the lake, Films in the lectures theatres or simply cooking and eating together, we always end up having a fantastic evening shared with friends.

Our socials bring the biggest sporting club on campus together, creating strong friendships between our Fresher's and our more experienced rowers. It is important to us to have an excellent team spirit within the club, it is the memories created on our socials that form this team spirit, and contributes to team success on the water.

Throughout the year the social calendar is hectic, however there are some key events that really stand out, our infamous Christmas Ball, an excuse to dress up and party until the early hours. Colours Ball is another event not to be missed, where all sports teams gather together and celebrate the year's success; of course this is an area where we aim to excel.
